The role

We are seeking a Substation Technology Consultant to provide technical expertise and engineering guidance across substation projects, helping clients and project teams make informed decisions related to electrical systems, equipment, protection, testing, and operational performance.

What you’ll do

Technical & Engineering Support

Provide technical consultation for substation and electrical infrastructure projects.
Review electrical designs, equipment specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
Support the selection and application of substation equipment and systems.
Identify technical risks and recommend practical engineering solutions.

Substation Systems

Provide technical guidance on HV, MV, and LV electrical systems.
Support protection, control, switchgear, transformer, and auxiliary system requirements.
Review substation layouts, single-line diagrams, and equipment arrangements.
Assist with technical troubleshooting and system improvement.

Testing & Commissioning

Support testing and commissioning activities for substation equipment.
Review testing procedures, reports, and technical results.
Assist engineering teams in resolving testing and commissioning issues.
Ensure work is aligned with applicable technical standards and project requirements.

Client & Project Coordination

Work with clients, consultants, contractors, and engineering teams.
Participate in technical meetings and project reviews.
Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and project documentation.
Provide technical input throughout project execution.

Who you are

4+ years of experience in electrical engineering, substations, power systems, or a related field.
Strong understanding of substation equipment and electrical systems.
Experience with testing, commissioning, maintenance, or project engineering is preferred.
Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work on project sites when required.
